JULY 2024 Average price for a low mileage good condition original unmolested RHD TR8 or a fully restored one is currently 43k
High mileage and poor body condition will obviously reduce that price considerably. Rare unique documented history to an individual car and or exceptional condition are likely to increase its value further. A RHD TR8 Auto was found in a lockup in London with very few miles and never been registered in September 2021. That car sold for 28k plus auction fees which would have made it low 30’s for a car that needed a full restoration! That car has now been restored and is now back on the road (2024) in excellent concours condition I’m pleased to say.

The car is no. 6 of only 22 RHD cars produced by the factory and has only covered 15000 miles.

This car was the last of the first batch of 9 pre-production cars for Sales and 1 of only 22 factory RHD cars ever to be produced.
The car was restored to ‘better than new’ around 2009/10 along with it’s original factory engine fully rebuilt which has done under 4000 miles since. It comes with all MOT’s and original Leyland cars super cover
handbook and service book. Also a box file full of receipts and photographic record of the restoration.
As you can see from the photos this car wants for nothing. It is totally concours, a masters winner, and It has just been serviced and has had a carb tune up.
Engine was rebuilt extensively at 56k including many new parts. Engine has done ONLY 4K since. Mileage is now 60k.

Unique opportunity to buy the very 1st RHD TR8 built MVP404V with only 38k genuine Miles from new. The current owner no longer drives the car much and would like it to go to someone who will give it the exposure it deserves as such a unique TR8. The car is totally as it was and has never been painted or otherwise. It has spent its life well stored in a dry warm facility.
Owner had the fuel tank replaced and the back axle, hand brake and rear suspension renovated whilst it was out out. He has also had a new heater matrix fitted and the servo rebuilt. The wheels were all refurbished and are unmarked and it had new tyres at the same time and a new Mohair hood.
